Designed by Dirk Pinkerton, the Artisan Cutlery 1820 Proponent Brass is a beastly chunk of a knife. It has solid brass handle scales mounted on steel liners, and it weighs 14.88 ounces. Ceramic ball bearings ensure the stonewash finished 3.85" D2 Wharncliffe opens smoothly and easily with either the flipper or with oversized ambidextrous thumb studs. There's aggressive jimping for a secure grip on the spine and for additional security, it comes with an external, screw-in secondary safety. Once the secondary safety is in place, it's nearly impossible for this linerlock to accidentally close or open.
