The refined simplicity of the classic slip-joint, handcrafted by our “best of the best”. The new Limited Gold Class 319-201 Proper takes the modern gent knife style to eleven with an assortment of the best materials we have to offer. With Mokume bolsters, micarta handles, jeweled liners, and a Munin pattern Damasteel blade, this knife might sound excessive on paper, but it makes complete sense in-hand. The 319-201 will be limited to 500 pieces.

Blade: The Sheepsfoot blade of this Proper is made from premium, Munin pattern, Damasteel stainless Damascus. The blade is acid etched to bring out the pattern welded pattern and offers modern stainless performance with a striking visual appeal. The opening of the slip joint blade is easily achieved utilizing either a pinch grip on the spine or via the generous nail nick on the blade. A high height saber grind delivers solid cutting performance with a good balance of durability.

Handle: Well designed with a traditional slip joint mechanism, Benchmade pulled out all the stops on this Gold Class Proper. Mokume bolsters are fit flush to the handsome Burgundy Linen Micarta handle scales and secured to polished and jeweled liners with 24k Gold Plated hardware! The inside of the back spring has also been gold-plated for a premium look that will last. A generous hole at the pommel is provided for lanyard attachment.

Damasteel: A high hardness, high corrosion resistant steel that combines two martensitic stainless steels - RWL34 and PMC27 - in unique patterns that, when etched, create the designs seen in the blade. Damasteel delivers a blade that is very eye-catching and has performance in the realm of RWL34, similar to CPM154.
