A 19th century jack knife for the modern world, custom knife maker Tony Bose designed the Case Sway Back Jack as a lady's and gentleman's slip joint folding knife that is at home in the office and the wood shop. Compact for carry, the Sway Back has a comfortable, sweeping handle paired with a rugged Wharncliffe blade with a traditional Case build. This version has a flat ground, Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade, worked nickel silver bolsters and polished Bowtie shield and smooth Ebony wood covers.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, USA.
Blades: The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blade is bright polish finished with a generous nail nick for opening. A flat ground Wharncliffe profile blade is robust enough for heavier work while being fine enough for the detail work. A stylish long swedge on the spine and flat grind give this blade balanced performance and durability for all around utility.
Handles: Handsome, green dyed bone caw cut to give differential coloring. The front cover sports an embossed Case shield while a stainless steel back spring delivers smooth slip-joint operation with full and half stops.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
